Your zbrush model is looking pretty good, but I'm not a huge fan of the hair. I think it'd be better to use max's hair and fur plugin if you can master it.

thanks my first head done compleatly in z brush ^^

The hair is kind of sloppy I need to touch it up in some area's fill in gaps ect. and I could probably use a few different hair strokes so it isn't so uniform, so it will get some reworking after the bodies finished. Along with that im definitely going to work on the textures more ill post updates when I have some more work done.

I want to stray away from the hair/fur/ and cloth modifiers because I'm trying to stick to low poly and I doubt my current pc could handle them very well anyway.
thnx for the critique btwsmile.gif

No worries. It's good that you've got a plan to keep it low poly, in which case it's definately best to stay away from hair and cloth plugins. Since you've pretty handy with z brush why don't you model some basic hair and detail it up in zbrush like this: [Link to www.alteredrealitystudios.com]
You could use normal maps or displacement maps to keep the poly count down.

Ill give that a shot if this method doesn't turn out good, with the current style I was following this guys method to see if I could/can get some good results [Link to www.paultosca.com] I feel like I could do better then this first design but if all else fails I could go with zbrush.

That's a great method but it's pretty for low poly high detail hair. The only downside is that it's pretty complex.

Yup I wanted to do the hair first because it was something new and it looked so cool. But with how long it took me to get shotty work I think Ill save that step for last. Might be complex but I have no doubt I can perfect it in time.

I've been really busy lately with family visiting and a move to New York so I haven't had much time to work on this but.. Heres some updates to the project, currently I'm wondering if I can continue to unwrap and burn my body or if I have to finish all of my poly editing such as triangulation and removing access edges before hand. So far im going to winde up at about 8k tri's without his weapon so I'm going to have to remove his unseen poly's and touch up on his loops but im anxious to get to my high poly, let me know if anybody has an idea of the hierarchy rules here.
