Here's the wire frame for my character "Odin". Let me know what you think and how he could be improved.

First pic, I uploaded!
1. Saturate those lips. I know he's in a dress, but I'm pretty sure it's not the look you're going for.
2. WAAAAAY to much bump. A lot of bump looks good if it's done as per the folds of the human face. His face looks like he had terrible acne in his teens or was in a fire. But, maybe that's the look you're going for.
3. That eye needs to be adjusted. Maybe even smooth it out and add some lite detail.
Second pic, I uploaded!
#1. Try smoothing out that area.
#2. Push that in just a bit.
#3. Go to #4.
#4. That neck looks too thick to me. Maybe it's just the angle.
#5. Round out that nose a bit.
?. Did you not use the 'symmetry' modifier for preliminary stage, you wacko?
The third pic I (accidentally) uploaded!
Same comments the second pic, but only more so!
I think there are two things letting this model down. A.) Your understanding of anatomy and B.) Your use of textures. I would seriously recommend that you go away and study the human form. I can help you out a lot in this regard as it is something I spend most of my art time doing.
Essentially what you need to do is find a ton of nude reference photography and then draw, draw, draw, draw. Once you have drawn the the human form a few hundred times you will have an ingrained understanding of anatomy. Then you move to modeling it in 3d.
I know it might sound like a lot of work, but it will make a massive difference if you are really serious about learning to model people.
I would add that in addition to better understanding the human form when it comes to 3d modelling the biggest kind of heavens opening choir ahhs moment is when you first start to nail the topological flow. ie: concentric circles around the mouth and eyes etc and generally good flow to all you're edges. I'd suggest starting a new face with this as the goal because once you can confidently create models with good structure and flow you can really start to work on the artistic side of things.
och ouch arg ee... the truth hurt's. I expected alot more texturing critiques rather than modeling but I see there's alot of both now.
The head probably should be redone it's been moved around and adjusted so much sense it's been put on the body that it's turning into this deformed blob, not that it was perfect to begin with. The neck looks horrible now it must have been after I shrunk the head down a bit that it really stood out can't believe I didn't catch that. Other then that I see that my boots are to wide at the feet and some adjustments are needed at the forearm to make his arms more realistic. Oh how this makes me wish I had to the time to practice this, study anatomy, find work to make money, put my animation together, build my website, and enjoy the day.

Yeah character modeling is the hardest thing to do in my opinion. Don't give yourself a hard time about it. Just know that it does take time Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
I recommend getting mad and pouring your hate into your next piece. Force everything to be perfect. I know it sounds silly, but sometimes anger serves as a wonderful tool to get stuff done.

Yea kind of silly of me to expect to get human form down perfect on my first try. Anyway it has given me more drive to draw more and try harder on my next few modeling pieces which will probably be more cartoony. Can't wait to show emm off before they're even made like always.

Post some WIPs next time.
I can't wait to see how much you improve on your next run.
Tip: for the head, start with the eye socket and work your way out. It makes the eyes become the most important mesh and everything else comes second, conforming to their needs; you get the eyes right, you're out of the woods.
