Hello,

I am considering purchasing 3ds Studio Max, I need to know a few things first and will appreciate all replies.

* Would I be able to get Poser content and DAZ Studio figures into 3ds Studio Max?

* If so, could I use the Poser runtime folder as my content folder so that I can access all the 3D content that I have in there quickly and easily when in 3ds Max?

Thanks,

You may be able to export the geometry to a format like OBJ or 3DS, but I dont know about the rigs or animations.

You could download a trial version of the program here - [Link to usa.autodesk.com] and give it a go for a bit, see if it suits your needs before purchasing

Thanks for all of your input.

I have been watching videos on it, so I am familiar with the interface now and how to rig a mesh and so on.

It seems very powerful and I think it will do what I am wanting.

Thanks again,

No worries. Feel free to ask any questions if you run into problems. And make sure you have a look at the help file. It's really good.

Also as mentioned before, try the trial version first, dont throw your money on something that you are not sure that will suite your needs.

Thanks for your replies.

Quick question. How good are the plugins and is there a link to all the 3ds Max 9 plugins?
