Im getting back into the idea of low poly modeling and possible writing a game engine. I need some info tho .. if any of your know of some good articles or videos on the actual pipeline of 3d for games or other must know stuff please let me know. (not poopinmymount.com)

Im looking for more the rules and conventions as well as how to texture and stuff like that.
Just any info really.

Thanks in advance guys.

P.s if anyone knows of a way to view my models in realtime that would be awesome.

I'm so up for making our engine. Especially if we can get that stuff working that we talked about.

There's a version of acrobat that allows you to view and interact with 3d models, that might be worth a look. Costs a fiar bit but there is a 30 day trial. Not sure what sort of files it supports though. I've just bought a book off ebay that's all about texturing for games which you might find useful. It's called 3d Game Textures and it's by Luke Ahearn. Just do a search.

Im not some much concerd with the creation of an engine as I have rough idea of how to do that im more interested in the specific rules regarding 3d for games and the proccess of modeling something all the way to animating it and exporting it for the engine. sorry if this is too broad ..
