hey , 3ds max is giving me an annoying error at start up.
says
- ERROR loading paramBlock2
Press OK...
then another error.
-Invalid file - only partially loaded.

i did some research, and dint find an answer.
so I Uninstall 3ds max, and every plug in and everything that has to do with 3ds max.
Reinstalled everything again .. and still the error is there. Any idea? Please help. Thanks

3ds max 9 32bit

Is it when your actually start max or is it when you try to load a file?

When you unistalled did you delete this folder?

C

Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsmax\9 - 32bit (XXXX= your username)

If not, try that and reinstall.

will do, thanks. ill just delete the "autodesk folder" in appdata. Ill brb ill re post asap. Thanks

Thats fine, as long as you don't have any other autodesk programs installed.

no. i had autodesk 2009 , but uninstalled it. umm i think it was when i uninstalled it, 3dsmax 9 started giving me the issue.

still the error is there, Unistalled 3ds max 9 and folder in appdata..

no, i don't think so. I have the latest version of direct x. And it does not say anything else about direct x.

i have also problem in my 3D max 2009 although i can use it,but everytime i open 3D max this error always appear " can't find DLL or error loading DLL" im using vista... but when i run the max to the other computer windows XP theres no error bout DLL

i wish i can do that too......
i need more practice....

This is usually caused by 2 plugins not being compatible with eachother. 1 of them probably won't work.

@ ferrari174 - do u have dotnetfx software and msxml6 software installed on ur machine?? If not, then reinstall 3ds max with these softwares. It should work. 3ds max uses the dotnetfx software.
