My sister just bought a house that needs a lot of work. She has conscripted me to build the cabinets. I would say this visualization really sold her but she's not paying me. Now my other sister wants me to visualize several different rooms in her house.
HA HA!
You built your own trap. Tell your sister that it takes you an hour to make each of these rooms and that your jam packed schedule will only allow 10-30 mins of 3d work each day, related to this project.
Something that my friends always say to me is, "Just pop it into 3d."
And i have to reply with, "You mean there's a button i hit that just pops an object into 3d?."
I'll also hear, "Computer 3d art isn't hard because it's done on a computer."
And my favorite, "You don't REALLY consider Computer 3d art, REAL ART, like painting or sketching."
I feel like people never understand that 3d art can be a long and arduous task, aside from the research involved in each object.
Yes, I did build my own trap and put my foot in it. Fortunatly it's not the kind of trap I feel the need to chew my leg off to escape. That is, I don't mind doing it since I know they won't be hounding me to get it done.
I wish it only took an hour for me to do a room, I'm not that adept.
I think the "Just pop it into 3D' thing is worthy of a new thread. I'm going start a new thread to address that.
