I'm a newbie in 3DS max, but can someone add the texture to this mech?, and explain me how you do it?

The mech must be like that:

It is divide in 3 parts, the body, treads, and armor.

Okay, here goes. It's pretty plain simple to simply apply textures to things in 3ds max. of course you can go way further in with Bumpmaps and Specular maps but first let's keep it simple.

When in 3ds Max, open your project, your mech smile.gif

just press M and your material screen should pop up.

click one of the balls, which should be grey, and some more menu's pop up below.

It somewhere should say Defuse colour. click the little grey box right of it, and select ''Bitmap'' from the list. you can now search for your picture or texture.

It's not really fair to ask someone to do it for you, plus you'll learn more if you do it yourself. Johnbeyer's given you a pretty good start, I'd suggest checking the max help file for the best help. We tend to say it a lot here, but it really is the best help file out there.
