Okay, I had no idea where to post this, so I gathered here was the place. Forgive me if I missed somewhere.

So, in Windows xp32 wirh adobe cs2 I used to have this crafty little patch that just let me see RAW and PSD thumbnails in windows explorer and its god awful (but rather useful) little picture viewer.

Nowdays since upgrading to vista 64 with adobe cs3 I 'm finding it impossible to find such a patch anddddddd I have been forced to use Adobe Bridge... wich hurts my little soul. Something about it just doesnt mesh well with my workflow. Just wondering if anyone else knows of any good little image viewing patches or programs that could be of help.

well Vista some modular design thing right? it should allow you to add you manufactureres RAW codecs into vista... I know Nikon, Canon, and Pentax have all released RAW image codecs for Vista. should look it up and see if that is what you want?
It is ok, I wouldn't talk to me either...

When I upgraded to CS2 I had this problem.

The solution was this:

The explorer thumbnails came with Photoshop CS1 so we can steal the DLLs from there
Download the DLLs [Link to www.sitepoint.com]
Make sure all your adobe apps are shut down
Unzip it to C:/Program Files/Common Files/Adobe Shell
Run the aiicon.dll.reg and the psicon.dll.reg

That works for your PSD files at least.
