I made my first skinned biped and made him walk, run, and jump onto a box. How do I save this to a file like a jpeg or multiple jpeg's so I could publish this on a website?

That's what i thought he meant at first but why would he post 100+ jpgs on the site? That would be madness. And this is sparta.

What I want to do is make a character walk on the website. I have done higher resolution but this 3D character stuff would fit in well. So far all I can do is screen shots and cut out the character. Mostly stills in that case.

So is there a export or something for the animating of a character? There will be no background if possible.

I am a flash designer so I would take the images and make him walk... Im not sure how limited my options are here with Max animation to web sites...

If the file exported as a flash file (swf) that would be perfect.

If you have flash then you can easily import a sequence of images or a video to export into a flv file. But you can also use windows movie maker to convert your movies to a small wmv file, that will also work on youtube.

I use Xilisoft to convert/compress my videos. And imageready for gifs.

If you're trying to export to swf then 3dsmax can export to w3d files for shockwave. But i don't recommend that if you have a high poly count.

I use a program which is similar to flash called Swish. I also have a program called Swish Video that handles all my video. Basically what I am after is, I have a bar scene in a website with a bar. I need to have a horse that can talk, serve beer and turn around. All you see is from his shoulders up (no main body) Also possibly some cowboys/cowgirls walking across.

If Max has animation then whats the point if you cant export it or save it to use else where? There must be a way... Maybe I could use shockwave or do some converting.

Ya never heard of it... I just installed adobe shockwave and it didn't show up... said it installed but the file isn't getting recognized... weird.

Cancel that, didn't work------->((I just read that I can export the file and import it into my swift 3D. That might be my only other reasonable option.))

Can you not just do it with small sequences of images embedded in the flash document?.
have a background image thats static and the horse doing a few actions that loop and hold so theres only ten to fifteen frames per action and render just the bit of him that is moving with the same background behind him embedded in the frame so theres no need for an alpha channel, something like that would be pretty small in the end i think.

If you import TGA's into flash they retain their alpha channel.
