Wow... You can tell I've spent the past 5 years modeling and not animation. My issue is, in the example link below, I want my robot to carry the text and place it on the wall and leave it there. I have the text "linked" to one of the claws. Throughout the animation of the robot, the text sticks with it, but does not create key frames for the text, in turn when I break the link to leave the text behind, there is no key frames for it so the text is no longer a part of the animation. What is the best way of handling this????? It there a way to automatically generate keyframes for the text when it is attached to an object?
Help please..
I apologize for the file being 2mb.. I was in a hurry and did reduce the quality.. It may take a few seconds to load.

It lets you say what gets attached and when!
Click on the wheel (MOTION TAB ).
Select your object (the slave), then click on "TRNASFORM" under Assign controller.
Lick on that question mark thingy (a button) and you will see a list. Click on "LINK CONSTRAINT"!
The rest should be easy to figure out but I'll say this: If the object is not touching anything, select "Link to world" if it's linked to something then click "add link" and immediately click the master object.
