It would be nice, when it's a non jpg file, if the site could simply attach a file and allow it to be downloadable when clicked. The thumb nail could simply be a picture of a paper clip.

Yes we want to allow file uploads in other formats and also allow for max and maya files etc. It is really a matter of finding the time to do it.
