Not a bad start at all! From my experience though, box modeling is not the best route for modeling cars.. rather model each body panel (body area) as a separate mesh..
Keep at it though

That is a good idea, but you can model the car as 1 object and then detach the separate pieces. That's how I've done it anyway.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Looking good. I had similar problems with my windows. It's not too difficult to fix but it can be time consuming getting all those finer points lined up. Good luck.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Ahh, the old open max and everything has changed and or disappeared trick. Try loading up your default ui again in the customize menu.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Unfortunately it doesn't take much to anger the max gods. They're a very bad tempered bunch and will snap at almost anything.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Max is very temperamental and does some very strange things sometimes, for no discernible reason. The only thing to explain it is bad voodoo. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Yeh, I was steve martin but suddenly one day I logged in and boom! I'm Gustave d'Pre. There's a thread somehwhere that explains it but I can't find it.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
hehe , nice im trying the same exact one. Obviously yours looks way better, mines is to choppy. Its my first car modeling. with a tut. but when i add the smooth modifier it looks ever uglier.
btw sometimes when i had to cut through polygons it wouldn't keep making the outline in several polygon, why?
Usually something like that would happen if there are some overlapping polys. I suggest drag selecting the vertices around the polys that you are making the cut and checking in selection section of the editable poly tab to see how many are selected. It will either say vertex xx selected or 2 vertices selected. If it says 2 vertices selected press ctrl+alt+c to collapse them. You'll also want to make sure that the 2 verts you've selected are in the same position and you haven't accidentally selected 1 that's a few feet behind the other one.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
