I can't seem to get my avatar to upload, maybe because there is no upload button - I pressed save a few times, but it didn't open.

Nope - that's a no go, you've made it so that I can upload a portfolio image and give that a description - but alas, I have nothing to put into a portfolio.

My avatar section still just has a browse button, but no upload button.

Hi Greg,

The save button for your avatar is on the right, under your personal details.

I can see how that may be a bit confusing. If you submit a Suggestion to add another Save button for the avatar itself, we may get to it.

I tried multiple times pressing the save button - but to no avail - no avatar was uploaded. Unless the file was uploading without telling me, and I was supposed to wait - but the page refreshed as if completed so....

What was the filename of your avatar I'll see if I can manually insert it.

Wait its okay, it was a permission conflict on the server, I have fixed it now.

I have also fixed the original bug posted in this thread, about the oversized avatars in the edit profile page. Now it resizes them properly if they are too large.

Yeah it worked, I suggest making the forum clear the users cache for your site so that the photo appears after they submit the form for the avatar. Just a suggestion. But it worked - thanks.

Yeah I can try a few things for that, you see the avatars are dynamically resized on-the-fly so by caching them we decrease server load and bandwidth used by this process.

I will look into it though.
