How do you add interactivity to a rendering?i just need pointers..

if you mean like a game, you will need to learn CPP programming and OpenGL or DirectX.

If you mean like physics sims, one of the other guys might be able to help you if you give some more detail about what you are actually trying to acheive. Maybe if you show some screenshots too, they're often helpful.

The only thing that comes to mind is maybe grab flash MX. Render some 3d stills. you can make buttons and have them link to other images then export a flash format interactive
file. I don“t know much about it but I made a small Mist type game ages ago where you could click and advance through a bunch of pre rendered images.

on the topic of simple 3d games... I may be working on a project that involves teapots... and racing tracks...
