Good model. The test will be in the materials and textures. UVW unwrap can be a bit difficult to pick up at first but is well worth learning.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
I am sure i will get the hang of it over time silly question what are the advantage of uvw unrap than just using the material editor and playing with the settings. the UVw Mapping is it where you can assign different textures to different areas of your model.

UV unwrapping is where it will draw a template for you to paint your texture on for the faces. (see example)Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
I have followed a tutrial for the unwrap UVW and i sort of understud it bit i sort of wasent getting it lol if you know what i mean do you know any tutorials that will get me to grips with it here is the tutorial i followed.
This is my attempt at Unwrap UVW i tried to get the bit that has the nibble raised a silver colour but i tride to use Unwrap UVW wjhat do you think i dont like it cause its not looking right lol . Oh and thanks for making me a senior member very much appreciated
You might be able to get away with using separate material ids rather than using uvw unwrap for this one. Then you only have to use a uvw map modifier with cylindrical mapping for the texture.
Thanks i followed a tutorial on Unwrap UVW and this is the end result i got with a few bits of lighting on extra what wasent in the tutorial. I understud it a little bit but not 100%.
