Currently looking at getting a new camera, my current choice is between the Canon 450D or the Nikon D90.
Any suggestions regard these cameras would be much appreciated.

Nikon tend to lend their hand to being able to handle portraiture much better (due to some technical stuff to do with their lenses), whereas Canon tend to be better for low light photography (something to do with a combination between image processing and their lenses). Also I have heard that Nikon sell lenses for cheaper... dont quote me on that though. I personaly am a nikon user, mostly because I had nikon lenses to start with from taking shots with a fuji. Also the Nikon felt really lovely to hold and seemed to have nicer menus, a better screen and a much more "real camera" feel to it (I come from a film photography background)
but if you pick up the canon and feel like its a really nice camera... dont hesitate to buy it. I think what it comes down to is how you feel about the camera yourself. If you go with either canon or nikon your in safe hands.
