looks like a good attempt, cars are very hard to model well. I'd say working from good reference and maybe blueprints is a good way to go. The front of the car looks a bit strange to me, maybe some molded curves for the headlights would improve it.
For the background you could model a gutter and sidewalk and maybe use some photographs of shopfronts or walls with windows or doors for a bit more interest.

It looks just great for a first design. next step, is to add details which make the car look more real. for example, how would you open the door, if there is no door? I think the step now is to create all the little holes & door fittings to improve your realism. also, at the bumpers
