Car paint has a fresnel reflective surface and high-gloss specularity.
Try a ray trace, or if you're using vray just turn reflection all the way up and turn fresnel reflections on.Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
I do have Vray installed but if I try to render something it always tells me "could not obtain a licence"... But I gave it a valid licence... I dont know, what this thang wants from me, I tried deinstall and reinstall it... it simply doesn´t work.
So i´m stuck on Mental Ray, Steve Martin, if you could tell me, where I can find it??
@Tyson:
Thanks for the link, but my panel looks completly different.. May be because some of the Vray functions are unavailable to me... I don´t know
the key thing in good car material is not the material it self but the image it reflects and lighting setup.

That´s all I got... may be I need a plug-in? :/ Oh man, is it so hard to create a good car paint shop...
@Altopais: I have no idea about lighting^^ I´m not this far yet
