It's free to download and you get a few trees and bushes with it. You can buy new trees for around $40 off the website.
It's good because you can use 1 of 3 detail levels as shown in the pic below. The tree on the left is a cross billboard which uses 4 polys. The tree in the middle is a combination of geometry and billboards and uses 2042 polys. On the right is the high detail tree. it uses nearly 750,000 polys but looks good closeup.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
