I'm not sure really, we don't have an official stance on whether to post or not to post challenge wips as far as I know.
My one crit would be that it's very good and that it's gonna be very hard to beat. How long did it take you?[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
You could probably get away with just linking to the challenge entry instead of re-uploading the file (also will help people see your challenge and hopefully vote for you )Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
cheers, thats a nice crit, thanks man. well it was quite quick. it took about one work day all together. Two half days and rendering overnight. No textures just simple materials. and some of the other models were part of old scenes I had in my kit. ie: the phone etc...
challenge wips would be a good idea, or maybe people work on it and post wips and then everyone enters at the deadline so we have different final images to vote on all at once?.
I have no critism to add. Epic win. Love the shiny materials, the light effects, and the caustic strokes. the light really emits from the screen and you did such an awesome job on that.
Thanks man, that light effect added like an hour to the render time. its volume light on a spotlight which I think actually adds to the GI with vray. Ie: fog and volume light are like bright objects in the scene, probably better as a post effect I suppose.
Tyson, that is awesome. I love the blur effect in the fore and background. I agree that the lighting is very cool. You put that together very quickly. I'm gonna have to step up my game on my bot to even come close to competeing with this...... Great job.

You have no idea how close your entry is to what I had planned. I'll have to change the setting of mine. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Sorry about that. what was your idea out of interest?. I was kindof thinking of the typist cyborgs in ghost in the shell, (you know the ones that break up into millions of finger type struts for typing real quick) then the colours and the bakelite phone model made me place it in a kind of 50's underground war effort setting. Ive got fallout 3 on the brain i'm afraid.
