Hi! I would like to convert my Skinned Editable Poly to a Skinned Editable Mesh, so that all envelopes and all bone information is correctly preserved through the conversion. I use 3D Studio MAX 8 and 9.

Is there any way to do this?

No, all your skinning info will be lost. What are you trying to do with editable mesh that editable poly won't do?

I bought some models which are modelled using Editable Polys. Unfortunately my game engine only works with editable meshes frown.gif I'm a coder (not an expert in skinning), that's why I'd like some kind of (semi) automated process to do the conversion.

I'd really apreciate youe help.

I'm fairly sure there are tutes out there for reading .3ds files for using in directx/opengl apps. If you export from Editable poly to a .3ds file I am fairly sure it will re triangulate everything for you, like a mesh.
