So this was what I was working on for about half of last year. It was a bit of a pain in the arse at times, but the end result is pretty spectacular. I pretty much animated everything and did one or two of the effects though it's kind of hard to see them. We actually animated to different music to this but at the very last minute the someone high up decided they didn't like it so they completely changed it. Kind of annoying when we spent hours and hours trying to time everything perfectly.
Im confused by this? is this all 3D? it looks like a public event? what was this for etc? Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Right that makes a lot more sense. Was it payed work? Must feel pretty good to have something shown in public like that Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Yeh, it was paid. It's nice to see it up and it does feel good to know that it's gonna be seen by a lot of people, but I'm sure I'd feel a lot better if I got to see it in the flesh myself. Maybe one day.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Awesome work man. what a cool and unusual piece to have on your resume/showreel. Its really impressive stuff. have you got the animation video file on its own? it would look cool on your reel to show the birds in action then show the clear video file to highlight what you did for the piece.
I do have the animation file on its own (complete with the original music that we timed it to) but in all honesty it was a bit rushed and I'm not really sure if I'll put any of it on my reel in that form. The bit where they turn into real birds and start jumping around is probably the best animation wise, but I'm still not sure if it's reel-worthy. I would have like to polish it a bit more.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
