Ok, I was a little bored. Used V-Ray, Afterburn and Photoshop to create this image. Not really sure where I was going with this, but hey, just call me mister doodle.....

Wow thats quite trippy. Any issues getting afterburn working with vray? Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
No. I used a VRay light to light the scene and an omni light with VRay Shadow Maps for the core of the AfterBurn effect. It seemed to work well when I got the far attenuation set right

Ok, I did a little animation... My god, I didn't expect it to take 8 hours to render... Goto to my site.. [Link to www.3dartconcepts.com] and click on the "Animation Gallery" then the crystal ball. I used "After Effects" on this one.
Rick
Oh man I can image if you tweaked that effect and stuck in a space scene and had it pulse like that and then explode and use camera shake... that would be awesome. Good work dude you'll have to write a tutorial on afterburn when your done! Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
I'll write one when I get more of a handle on it. I'm not sure why the table cloth reverted back to its bare material for a second.. Weird. I'm going to be working on a rocket scene with Afterburn soon.
Rick
Looks good. I'd like to see a good afterburn tute, I've always had a bit of trouble getting anything I've done to look good animated.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
