Anyone interested in this please post links to the pieces you would like to display so we can see how much work we have to use.

We will be displaying in 22/24" monitors (probably about 10) and also a projector in slideshows. Or if you can arrange your own printing/framing we can hang real media too.

Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.

if it's for SALA then we have to be registered and paid by june 1. thats for south australian artists only. if its an exhibition through gee's contacts, then yeah its tba. should we begin to discuss themes? or is the 'digital' umbrella enough?

I think since it's a DAF exhibition we shouldn't be limiting it to South Australian artists only. We want allow as many of our members to get involved as possible, even if they won't be able to make it in person. Plus that will give us a bit more time to organise everything.

yeah thats fair, but if we ARE organising an exhibition outside of a festival event, then theres also an increased cost associated with hiring, advertising, etc. as well as expecting those involved to actively contributing, and helping with marketing/advertising and all that. fyi, the original idea was to exhibit at SALA (south australian living artists) festival, since it was cheap and easy to become involved, with still enough time to get organised. gee has been awesome enough to approach some potential contacts about exhibiting around adelaide, but other than that nothing is set in stone.

Yeh, I remember that being mentioned, but I don't think we should be excluding a large proportion of our membership base. I think we need to at least look into how much it's going to cost if we do it outside SALA.

agreed, its total alien language when written down. I think its the same with actually saying the word "spoon" out loud and realising how totally odd it really is as a word

Okay, so thankyou to some work on behlaf of Jasikk and Steve Martin there is the possibility of securing a space.

Before considering that though, The clincher is that we may need to show alot more framed work on the walls than first anticipated.

So.

Who would be interested in creating work to be put up on the walls. Framed... well printed pieces.

You would have around about 4-5 months to complete these pieces.

Anyone?

We'll keep em in mind. We've been and visited the last one you suggested and it seems like a pretty good space. I'm just waiting to hear back fom them on a few issues before we move forward and make a decision.
