Hey guys the site has been up for 3 days now and not one person has given us any feedback on the site?! We have spent months making this thing and it would be nice if you could give us some feedback. Negative would be just as good as positive...

It looks really good. I can see a lot of effort went into it and I know PHP is a bitch so well done. Personally I haven't had time yet to check out all the new features, but i'll get to them in time. The only thing frustrating me is that all our old posts have gone.
and it's a story that might bore you, but you don't have to listen, because I always knew it was going to be like that.

Yeah it was a big decision to let them go, but at last check I think we had over 1100 posts, and merging that kind of data into a completely new and differently structured database it a bitch... Ive had to do it before.

So again sorry guys, but we thought it was worth it to get the new site up as soon as we could.

Yeh, I like it. I haven't checked yet, but do you need to register to view the forums like the old site? If you do could I suggest a change as it tends to turn people away.

Otherwise, i think it's definately an improvement and sets itself apart from a lot of other 3d forums. Hopefully we can attract a few new members.

It all seems pretty solid from where I am standing. You must be pleased to see the fruits of your labours of the past months.
I've given you feedback about a few things on msn. Anything else I should look at??

Once people become familiarised with the setting, and get some work done, they will use the site more.

Na i think it's pretty much done. We will just keep adding new features as time goes by. We are thinking about making a series of sites for different creative industry's using the same code.

Do you mean like making the 3d max one a site under an overall art site with seperate parts for things like 3d, 2d, photography etc?

I'd definitely be up for the music site... So you mean you guys would be Admins for this network or more like software developers?
... or did you think I was too stupid to know what a yoogoogoly was?

I dig the new site, I apologise for not being very active. I havent done much personal work since I got home and I can't really post anything from work untill the ad comes out.
We finished it last week. Itsgreat to see a new and better site for future endeavours many big ups to you guys...
I'm currently doing quite a bit of fibreglass sculpture so I may have to post photos of that in the 3d area or something?

Did George Lucas flick that special switch implanted in your head that told you to build for another movie??
Sounds pretty interesting, I look forward to the results.

Thats funny Josh, yeah I've been inspired to get my hands dirty with various chemicals again, I'm making vegetables that look like they are made of flesh, cut into like meat. plus I started a creature, I intend to make some sort of animatronic breathing action with blow foam and latex, not quite sure how to approach the breathing yet though. I will have to ask my props building uncle for advice. Any thoughts?.
The goal is to make a very realistic creature in fibreglass and have its belly move in and out then lie him in a dog basket like a pet alien or something...
As for vray gnomon disks, I saw one all about GI theory which was very illuminating (boom boom) I learnt alot even though it was more like finally understanding the tools I had already been using for ages. I find that area of 3d particularly interesting, I think because its so close to studying real physics and applying it to art.
