My final project for 3d
Basically, this is just the draft model of the scene, have not finished yet.

The final objective is to create a animation with some activity of a biped in that scene.
I am expected to use keyframing, motion capture technique for the biped
For light, I'm expected to GI, final gather, ambient oclusion
Object included: a house, fence, stair, sky jpg, sun, biped, tree, 2 rough land
The scene need to be fully textured

Would you please look at the draft model and criticize it ? thank you

I loved that game, and you know, I still haven't played any of the sequels. Not even sure how many there are.

And yes, good good memories smile.gif

No I haven't either. I think I can say that it was Myst that got me interested in 3d. I remember watching a "The making of Myst" docco some time and I was just blown away. This was back when I was like 12 or something.

I got far and gave up. My brother beat it. I think I had more fun reading a book while helping him solve the puzzles. Christ that game was a lot of work...

I have question I dont understand why when I apply the jpg image of the sky together with use the light source daylight, the render scene is black while in the render preview window, the sky is still displayed. How to display a sky in the scene?

Press 8. Under "exposure control" switch to <no exposure control>. Tell me if that works.

Also you never answer anyone's questions on this forum, on any post you make.
I'm going to add you to my google chat to start asking questions there.

That looks pretty cool.
Do you have the jpg in environment and want it to show in the viewport?

This is the visual storyboard of the final project I mentioned above. Would you please view and feedback the storyboard? The teacher says there are something that need to be improved in the storyboard

A storyboard generally plans out a sequence of events for an animation in order to visualize how it will look when done.

EDIT: Sorry I didn't see the link.

You want to call this an "animatic"

Looks good. I would be adding more pickup shots.

I didn't see the link, that qualifies as a storyboard, since there is no motion to each panel.

Doesn't your teacher tell you where you need to improve?

once you have a character you can select parts of the mesh and hit "detach" then choose "as clone"
then add a push modifier and a shell modifier. you can then model the polygons further to make clothes.

Here is the preview animation for the poses of the cameras in my scene. Would you please view it and criticise the preview animation? Thank you

The animation looks good. Is it keyframe or motion capture? Some of the camera movement could do with some improvement though, it seems to pre-empt the character rather than following his movements which doesn't seem realistic.

you might want to fix up that mocap a bit. his hands and clavicle bones seem to be at the wrong rotation.
looks like an interesting scene.
