I wrote down some of the limitations in another post but basically
its really cut down, it does reflection refraction via the vray map
but doesnt have vray material so no translucency etc..
it does GI but its just the basics. still good and no watermarks..
I havent used it much so I'm not sure what else is missing but I doubt you have stuff like vray dirt, vray fur, sunlight system etc etc...

well, I can't find it. Everything leads me to [Link to www.renderer.com] and that link does not work, and on chaosgroup, I simply can't find it. There are just a bunch of demo versions to download, but no free V. Any direct link or something?

not sure why the link doesnt work but if you type it into your browser just the without the http:// it works. its an essential site for plugins "maxplugins .de" as is scriptspot.com for scripts. However I just went there to find vray free and its not there, maybe they pulled it down for some reason. I downloaded it about three weeks ago but maybe chaos group wanted more sales. Surely theres a "special" version though bittorent floating around..... for those of you without morals

Tyson, thanks for helping me. I checked those Illegal stuff, but there are only full version stuff, and including serial key, keymaker, whatever. Anyway, I tryed to download several, but EACH of them has a trojan on that keymaker. So.... nothing again. About that free version, I looked everywhere, but nothing.... I guess they really pull it back from the web.

Same for me Throatcutter, I've been searching for it to and all i got were Trojan keymakers. Seems like weré in the same boat. I desperately need it to.
