The only way you're gonna get around your lack of experience is to get more experience. There's no magic answer, it's gonna take a bit of hard work to get better. The blueprints problem is a difficult one. Can you but a Goldorak figurine and use that as reference?

you are absolutely right steve..more experience means more patience in modelling and more work on it.. and am planning on doing more models in the future but for now i was just asking what do u think the best and fastest modelling technique for this model would be..is it line modelling or plane..etc? and as for you question , am not sure i can do that,,will give a try though.

thanks for replying

Box modelling would probably be the best method. He's pretty symetrical so you only have to model half of him and use a symetry modifier.
