Again, some work. this time, I'm really getting the hang of it. Though i kept on failing letting light actually go trough the windows so I had to place more lights within the house. Ceiling lamp will be added later.. Hope it works.
NIce room.
Try making it look like the lamp is on and lighting the room maybe.
If you make the lamp object self illumininated ie: in your material turn self illumination to 100 then place your omni light inside the lamp then right click the lamp object, go to properties and uncheck cast shadows. It might just give the light a bit more of a practical source. If your using standard max lighting try adding lots of very low value omnis around the room make them all instanced so you can change the setting easily and set the shadows to shadow map with 256 map size and 25 sample range so you get shadows without lots of hard edges intersecting everywhere.
heaps better. I like how everythings reflective.
The lighting still needs some attenuation though I think.
Ie: turn on far attenuation in your omni light settings and make the far distance just hit the floor, then fill with other lights. you may need to up the light multiplier to compensate.
Perhaps add some details like skirting boards, architraves.
and a picture rail. sweep modifier is great for that.
