So I am like 99% new to 3dsmax and only used it a few time sin high school. We mostly used Bongo and Rhino to do most jobs. Fast forward to me now in college using my vague memories of CAD programs to make a brief animation for a video project... due later today. Anyway I made the animation I need but have it saved as a bongo file, and am trying to export it (with limited amount of saves) into 3dsmax keeping what i've already animated done intact so i can just render it. I've tried to export as a .3ds, .fbx, and even .dxf file but none of them retain the the animation or any keyframes I assigned in Bongo. Can anyone help me? I'm pretty desperate right now.

Can you save the animation separately? If so you might be able to load it up using character studio or something. I'm not really sure about this though.

Is there a file type associated with that? I haven't really found any way to save or export that kept my keyframes. Or a program for that matter that would, (also tried the trial version of maya too).

How hard is the animation? bc Sometimes Ive spent trying to fix a problem, and it usualy takes me longer to fix, than to do it over. Jst something to think about...

I dont actually know about a file that can transfer animation keys, bc most times the XYZ coordinates dont match, ie Maya has X/Z are front and side, and Y as in Up and down, where as in 3DS Max the Z and Y are exchanged, this might not seem like such a big dif. but when it comes to programing you never know.
