The Mill, in short, does the impossible with VFX. The company has created thousands of visual effects shots for commercials, music videos, and full length films. And they get it right, every time. Most of the time you can’t even see where the effects were done. Sometimes the only giveaway is the fact that a shown action would be impossible in real life. They do more than VFX work, but for this site I’ll be focusing on this.

Many tell me how student or independent films are where to look for the most creativity. But I think those can only take us so far. The Mill will boldly go into a realm of fantasy, flaunt it in our faces, and make us believe in it. Lighting, physics, compositing, modeling, or cinematography: everything that needs to be real, can be.
This company’s style is what really gets my attention. They’ll even show something very regular, and in a new light, make it impressive or cool. This is their job, most of the time, since they do many advertisements. But in my opinion, they do it better than anyone.
