Perhaps we could add an 'Introduce Yourself" section where new members would be incouraged to say hello. I've noticed a lot of new members but not many of them actually posting and I was thinking that this might help. [Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Most of them are bots. We are devising a system to kill them. But I get what you are saying about the new people. Maybe a sticky instead of a whole forum. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
is there a way you can tell they are bots? or is it just an assumption because forums tend to run rampant with bots?
and it's a story that might bore you, but you don't have to listen, because I always knew it was going to be like that.
There are way's of finding out. For example because most forum bots are designed for vbulitin or phpbb they can not login in to our site. So if a user has never logged in it's a good indication that they are a bot. Also multiple users with very similar names is a bit of a give away. You probably want to talk to people who know more about establishing businesses and marketing rather than 3d artists at the moment. We can help you with your 3d questions (hopefully) but probably not so much with establishing a business.
Welcome to the forum anyway, please post some work in the Finished 3D section so we can see what you've done.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
