Ok I am about sick of my complete lack of effort when it comes to art lately and I tried to sketch today and the results where shocking. So I am making this thread to post whatever crap I produce. This will be my learning thread. While I have developed some sense of skill in terms of replicating photos, I really do not see this as art. So I am going to try and force myself to do something everyday if possible.
Hope you all find it interesting and maybe I can actually become good at this.
Oh and trust me there will be nudity, so if you don't like naked people be wary.
I suggest that those of you who are interested in this idea make your own sketchbooks either in the 2D, 3D or Photography sections. Hope to have some eye gouging work to show you soon.
EDIT: Images 14 and 15 are based on paintings by IdiotApathy from conceptart.org Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.

Added: Nude stuides. I spent about a min each on the middle ones and about 2 on the bottom one. I got a little carried away with the one at the top. I made myself do these even though I was working untill 9pm.. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Looking good. I'm not sure if you're after criticism but you could try a set of studies that use more contour type lines. like more circles in the construction. you're landscapes all have a very fluid natural feel to them but the figure work feels a bit restrained or something.
Good observation man, first time I have drawn in a long time. I need to loosen up a bit. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Added: Nude male figure study, spent about 20 mins on this. created using painter 11 with conte. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Added: Portrait of Snape form the Harry Potter movies, crits welcome. Also I recorded the process and will be uploading it to youtube asap. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Added: Apple from my tutorial, Value Study, Watercolor attempt at a sunset. Meadow speed paint. stylized Landscape (no ref, I was trying to focus more on style. I know the composition sucks.) Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
It is kinda funny I did the meadow one in both painter and photoshop. I wanted to see what application I was most familiar with. Seems it was photoshop. Thanks dude. I suck at landscapes, hence the practice. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
The apple looks great, the only thing I'd say is that maybe the stem could do with a bit more detail, it's a tad flat looking. No real crits about the others. I really like the stylised landscape. I think there's a beach over that hill.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Thanks dude, Im happy you liked the stylised one. Yeah the apple lacks detail, mainly because I couldn't be bothered explaining detail in the tute. Thanks for the crits. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Added: Did a quick value study of a female figure in black and white. Used the overlay technique to add some color. This is the first time I have tried this method. Also a quick texture test that turned out to be pretty cool. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Your a real artist Jamie I love the water detail and color's used in sun set landscape keep it coming.

Update: Super fast sketch in painter. Figured I may as well resurrect this sketchbook. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
My first though was that the sky and the ground were a bit flat but, if you made them as interesting and detailed as you did the leaves, the image would probably be too "busy". So no real crits from me.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Update: Two new images, I am trying to replicate this guys style. I really like his work and I'm terrible at landscapes so I thought I'd learn from someone better. [Link to www.conceptart.org]Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
