This one's been made for a RPG clan crest. During this project I still wasnt aware of displacement maps, so the wing is made of tenths of "foils" colored in different tones of grey....ridiculous!! >.<

For this one I've been inspired by one of my bro's t-shirts and I tried to more or less replicate the same scene in 3D....this is most likely a mental ray final gather study ^^

This one is my present project, made, this one too, with a RPG in mind. I cant really figure out an appropriate texture for the blade's edge....tried with a self_illu-falloff/amethyst, then a simple ruby, then a self_illu-falloff/ruby and now a combination of the simple ruby with a self_illu-noise/amethyst inner poly....complicated >.<
But my real problem is the volume light that seems to be distorted by the displacement map of the wall behind....and it's too "heavy" too! =p
