So you have objects that are not generating shadows, while others are?
More info please.

Are you trying to project the shadow using a light source?

I used the Foliage and put it in the middle of a ray of a vray sun works well for me ...

Did you turn Shadows on in the light properties?

Also I think for leaves you need to use shadow map... unsure though. Cant remember.

shadow map will generate blur effect, won't it varnished? well.. i'm too unsure abt it. Raytraced shadows will maybe generate more clear shadows. Not sure...

If the leaves are made by using opacity mapping you need to use raytraced shadows or in vray use vray shadows (which are raytraced) Shadow maps don't calculate transparency. But if you want a dappled sunlight effect like the sun coming in through the trees consider using a black and white map, a picture of branches and leaves, and load it into your light as a projector. Its quicker to render and you can soften the edges of the leaves without resorting to area shadows.
