I was just wondering if any of the people who studied at mad have found any work? Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Small amounts of freelance so far. Not enought to give up furniture removals (unfortunately) The previs company I'm involved with is officially up and ready to go and has a positive feedback from a few advertising agencies we have approached. We're also trying to attach ourselves to some post houses to see if we can get some work off them. Hopefully we can get some jobs this month.
I've kind of been waiting for this to happen for the past year or so so I haven't been out actively looking for work. I think if I was I'd probably consider moving to Sydney or Melbourne.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Yea I didn't want to make the move to a another larger city, So I kind of gave up on the whole idea. Just do 3d for fun these days. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.

Was anyone else a little dissapointed with the follow up to the course? I was expecting them to take a more active role intrying to get us jobs. I just got an occasional email for the first 6 months, then nothing.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
i'm currently working on a tv series, which will be on tv in a year or so. i can't really give you many specifics about it. i've been working on it since about august and will be working on it until jan 2009. um what else, i was brought on as one of 3 animators but also had to do a lot of modeling of characters, props and sets. its a really small team so i had to do a bit of everything. when a website goes up, which i hear its being made i'll be sure to post it here.
yeah i was a little dissapointed with the follow up to the mad course, I really had to push them to get info about jobs etc. Tyson had left so it made it harder. also it was a little frustrating leaving the course only to find out that every freakin studio in adelaide bar one uses maya instead of max. so i had to make the switch and transfer everything i knew in max over to maya.
and it's a story that might bore you, but you don't have to listen, because I always knew it was going to be like that.
i bet that was really annoying transfering everything over cant wait to see the the website thanks for posting

not as bad as you'd think but still took a bit of effort. for the most part i just had to find the equivalent tools in maya that i would use in max. of course now i've been using maya for so long that i'm really really rusty with max.

lol yer but i am sure if you wane back in to max for a bit you would soon get back in to it if you dont mind me asking what is your job cause i read you post that you are working on a tv programme thats coming out in 2009 if you feel that i have offended you i am sorry
