Great! Cant wait to see it. Unfortunately Gerard, Jamie and myself have to sit this one out. No sense in Gerard hogging all the votes again and getting the prize Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
We came up with V3, thats what we came up with. What have you guys done? hey? Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
I like it, however do you feel that it is representative of the theme? Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Well... I guess I can re submit when I see the rest of the peeps here posting their work and getting an idea of what the feeling of the piece should be... I guess I didnt read all of the material.. I just downloaded the logo and worked on a composition that seemed to be cool in my head..
On that note.. what is the theme? so I can get a better Idea of what you're looking for...
MuS@shiROth
Im not saying that it isnt a good composition, as I said i like it. It is just that the "front" aspect of the name implies some kind of struggle and we were hoping that people might focus more on that. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Dont get me wrong. I wasnt mad or anything, or meant it in a sarcastic manner, I really do value your opinion on these pieces, and I will resubmit later on! Thnx for the heads up!
MuS@shiROth
I like it, and it does kinda fit with the theme of the whole digital vs traditional good work Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Thanks y'all.
I had to fall short of my original idea. I wanted to have a wireframe hand and knife working on the painting. I just couldn't make it look right. After a while I felt like I was beating the proverbial dead horse.
Chris
Secondly bloody excellent work man, you have a concept and as always some fine 3d skills Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Thanks man . yeah, my new reel is mainly for landing a specific job so its really just a new edit of all my old studio work with a few extras. ideally I want to make one that is purely personal work someday soon. I'll upload it anyway and see what people think.
I don't even know who to vote for now. Everything's so good.
I want to post a better pic but i have to time!! I'm going job hunting all day... Why do bill need money? Can't they just take a cool drawing of a hot chick?
I'm not sure if I'm wrong here but shouldnt we wait until all the entries are in before casting votes? I mean, what if I vote and then theres some awesome late entry that blows everything else away? or can votes be altered until the deadline or something?
Im working on a new piece, taking into consideration the theme.. I dont know if ill make the deadline, but Ill submit it anyway when im done Its gonna come out sweet!
MuS@shiROth
Here is something I've been thinking about. The ability to change your vote solves the problem of late entries, but I'm wondering.
For example if a person has three entries with one vote each and another person with one entry has two votes. I assume the person with one entry and two votes wins, right?
That is a second entry could take votes away from an otherwise leading entry.
My point is, it's kind of a gamble to enter more than once, am I'm correct.
Chris
Yeah I think multiple entries is a bit odd. you should be able to "up date" an entry for a better one so previous entries become WIPs of the main work but people are voting on a single entry per member.
You guys have made some good points about the challenges system it needs another overhall before we launch. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
I suggested in "Challenge Suggestions>Crazy Products" That an ongoing "Ad Campaign" might be a good idea. Multiple up-datable images under the same entry. Sort of a gallery of work on the same theme that gets voted on rather than a single entry or multiple entries. It would be sort of a WIP type thing but not quite.
hahaha I hope you like your prize when you can finally experience it

I'd like to thank my mom and dad, my beautiful wife for staying with me through this crazy crazy ride. I'd like to thank my older sister for showing me how to color inside the lines. *tears streaming* I'd like to thank my high school art teacher who taught me you CAN paint with mashed potatoes and Elmer's glue!
And last, but certainly not least. I'd like to thank all the "little" people of this forum who felt I was worthy of their vote.
Thank you, thank you..
*End of satirical acceptance speech*
But seriously, Thanks for the votes. I can't believe I won. There were much more worthy entries.
Chris
Conrgats Chris. Let's hope that your image brings many people back to the site. Not that I want to put pressure on you or anything...[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Yeah, no pressure or anything. I wish I had spent more time on it now. I never imagined I would win and be representin' the site.
It's not like you guy's are going to mail this out to 864 registered users or anything.
