I can't imagine there is a way possible that we can actually tell you how to make the mario model apart from give XYZ values of the vertices which would take months, if not years!

I think the root of your problem is that you need to know how to model first. Try some modelling tutorials. There's tonnes on the net.

I second that, I suggest you find some reference images and then try based on that. Also find some tutorials and brush up on your modeling skills.

And I third it. You really need to know the ins and outs of modelling so you can do it yourself rather than having us tell you exactly how to make a particular model. And Tozzy's right, that would take forever.
I'd suggest looking for some good character modelling tutorials on the net. Video tutorials are the best.

Have you tryed looking for blueprints on charachters have you done any modeling.

i personally think that this is really complex work if it is your first time moddeling
