Nice work Matt, you've accumulated a fair bit of good work. Your lighting and materials are really strong and your models are pretty good too. Sent it out yet?[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Thanks man. Yeah I sent it to Electric last week. And will be sending it to a few other studios through out the week. Some of them are really picky about how they want your reel. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Looking good man. What kind of job are you hoping to get into. like are you interested in doing effects or rendering?
You have some really nice renders. I would like to see a bit more effects stuff though. maybe a full on house collapse type shot
the grey shaded rigid body sim is cool, but it seems a bit like a test render. I can never pluck up the courage to post my reel, I have been working on it for ages but it just seems to keep getting more holes in it that I dont really want people to point out.
What exactly do you mean when you say "some of them are picky about how they want the reel" have they actually specified or is it more related to content?
yeah man. I think you would find that knowing things like real flow and other specialised software would be
a real selling point in some studios, not that many artists know how to use it and Ive often seen places spend stupid amounts of time in R and D trying to get up to speed. If you know real flow quite well you could make a special "real flow reel". if you get my meaning.
