Well all I can say is, it looks like a photo. I guess that means bloody great work. How long did it take?

Cheers mate! It was an on and off project when i had spare time really. Probably took about 20 hours from start to finish i guess. The tv was from a previous model that i had done. But other than that all materials and modelling were done from scratch.

20 hours is very good from start to finish. How long did it takte to render and what did you use?

Is it? I have nothing to bench mark my times against, so thats positive news!!

It didnt take long to render, perhaps 30-45 minutes but as i said it was a while ago now. I use 3ds Max 9 and mental ray. Obviously photoshop too for the final corrections.

It's quick by my standards. I'm probably not the best benchmark though. There's still a lot of trial and error when I create scenes. More error really.

Solid work. Looking very realistic, well lit and well textured.

Question - Did you use reference of furniture to establish the 'look' of your lounge interior?
Like this giant fish in a bear suit. He would be horrible. Look at him go!!

Yep, keep practicing and asking questions and don't forget to make mistakes. Always make mistakes.
