Hey all. I'm using the 3D max 9 morpher modifier and I think I understand how to set keys and move vertices...

I am animating a face for the first time and want to be able to move the eye lids, eye brows and mouth seperatly. For example if I want my character to say "Hello" with an angry look on his face, then I have to make his eyebrows angry for those phonemes. If I want him to say "Hello" with a raised eyebrows, I have to create new phonemes with raised eyebrows... resulting in alot of morphs, time and complication. There must be a way to move the eyebrows on their own and the mouth on its own... it would make life much simpilar XD.gif

If it helps, when I set the morpher, I am clicking "capture current state" I think this could be the problem and I don't know how to set a morph otherwise.

Thanks for help!

just create seperate morph targets for the mouth and eyebrows. make copies of the mesh. edit each copy. right click a free channel in the morpher mod and pick from scene. Make sure all you're shapes don't conflict with one another to avoid getting compound morphs.
