Hi! I want to know how to move a vertex along an edge, in mesh or poly mode. The problem is that I want to move a vertex along the same line of the edge, but i don´t remember how to do it. So when I move the vertex, it deforms the mesh.

In poly vertex sub-object look for constraints in one of the roll outs. There is an option to constrain a vertex to edge.
