Generally you want to list everything you did not make and give credit to those people/companies.

Also are you SURE the job position doesn't require any composite work? The editors at the NBC station i worked at did a whole lot more than just move video objects around and cut to the beat of the music.

Mate I got lots of question I'm very much confused...
I know editing a video is not just to make one then done, it needs planning and everything. That's why I ask lot of questions here coz I want to learn coz you guys have more exp than I am and talents too. Hope these questions can help me (others too) improve my simple works to a better one.

-What he use on the title, that microphone thing with letter effects on it?
-Next one did he use Particle effects on it? coz i have but dunno how to use it.
*At 0:33 how and what did he use to do that kinda effect? that circle thing covered with black.

*At 1:50 - Multiple movie Screen
*At 3:10 - The multiple screen started to rotate, then displayed another screen and what kinda effects are those?

Isaac: Look at it for Christ sake!! He scaled on the y axis then used opacity. The other letters were just broken into different objects and blurred. This can be done in premiere.

Isaac: I don’t think he did or I don’t see what you’re talking about.

Isaac: One of many methods: If you’re using premiere, you make a circle then key out it’s background, then blur it. Apply opacity then darken the video.

Isaac: Any of them. I think the problem here is you’re looking for one button pluggins that will do these effects. Look at the tools you have available and you can pull off anything.

Isaac: Any of them. You can even do this in imageready

Isaac: Very easy to do in premiere (what I guess you’re using). Edit a sequence and bring them into another sequence.

Isaac: Reel- a roll of photographic film holding a series of frames to be projected by a movie projector. Demo reel- A reel containing clips of your past work.

Isaac: Premiere Pro and Final Cut… It says on that page.

Isaac: Look dude. He’s always using simple tools to make nice work. He might be using illustrator or the premiere text tool for the fonts. There is no magic plugin that can do this stuff.

*At 0:54 or 0:55 - i guess he premiere on that effect on the ninja's hand
Isaac: You can overlay and delay video and use opacity. Combustion has this “effect” built into it.

*At 0:57 - 0:58 - is it after effects?
Isaac: no.

*At 1:00 - 1:02 - That double screen sorta Premiere effect?
Isaac: It could be.

sad to say mate don't have illustrator and other stuffs on adobe..
Particle effect I mean can be seen in a software called Particle Illusion ^^

Yeah, those examples from isaac are good. the second one especially shows editing that makes you want to keep watching. editing is much more about making the video content interesting to watch than just showing lots of video. If you have access to a video camera I think shooting and editing your own little film or something would show more skills than editing together loads of clips off the net, plus you would learn alot in the process. If you want a job your reel has to be at least as good as someone who is actually working in the filed. you have to look at the standard and be really hard on yourself. ask yourself "is my work as good as this guys?" and if its not why not? then make it as good. you can obviously use the programs from this movie but employers arent interested in what program you used. if you can edit you should be able to edit in any software.
