I was working in 3ds max today and i noticed that i couldn't edit the x,y, and z coordinates with any of the transform tools. Usually it would be a set of arrows that were blue, green, and red but now all i see are red and gray arrows. It really gets annoying when i want to transform the scale of an object because it won't allow me to only use one of the 3 coordinates. My "show transform gizmo" is already checked.

Maybe i pressed a certain shortcut key to do this but can anyone help me out?

(the left is what i see and the right is what i want to be able to use again)

also, i just found out that all of my default materials turned to a white color. before, they used to be dark gray...

about the arrows you just need to press the letter "x" while using 3ds max;
about the materials I don't think the color really matters, but you can try changing it in the the menu of the material editor.

Are all your materials rendering correctly?
