please tell me what improvements should I do in this scene to make it real..

I'd like to have a sunset effect.. and by the way this is a typical room in an apartment here in out place... tell me what should I add to make a foreign style.. I mean I need a simple scene not too much stuffs inside.. =)

I'm new to interior designing...

the first pic is a vray shadow... then the second pic is shadow map....

first thing thatz crosses my mind is that bed leg or what ever it's caller, it looks a bit rough, try rounding it a bit, and as i always said, chamfer everything

The couch looks a bit small. and the shadows on the lamp are too hard. you could use attenuation on the lamp and maybe area shadows or softened shadow maps so they don't make the shapes on the wall. Oh and the gigantic crystal ball on the floor kind of gives it away. unless of course this is harry potters bedroom or something ?

haha yeah when you mentioned it, i didn't noticed the bed size, it's huge compared to the couch and lamp

I just put a crystal ball on the floor coz it seems pretty empty to look at the floor without something like.... okok.. Thx.. i was planning for kinda sunset scene..

The second render looks much better. As mentioned, the bed is way to big.
You need to move that crystal ball before someone trips over it.

One gripe I have about 3D programs is how hard it is to get natural looking lighting. Somehow it always looks plastic or too dark or too light. You did a good job.
