Hello everyone, I feel that some new forums are in order. What we have currently just doesn't seem to cover everything. If you agree please make some suggestions below on what you would like to see.

One WIP section for all mediums would be nice.

I believe most sites have "advanced critiques" for finished art, after it's ready to be analyzed. An advanced critique is a well written analysis, that should be over a paragraph long; it is something that can be done for a wip depending on the circumstance. If all Work In Progress art goes into the advanced critique section you're assuming they all require criticism and deep analysis.
A Work In Progress section would clearly communicate that random snippets of art can be posted that don't require the full analysis of the forum; they should reveal the progress of the project.
Also, an advanced critiques section is redundant since the image gallery is where that should take place. I recommend renaming "advanced critiques" to "work in progress discussions", if that is its true purpose.

Maybe a games section, cause I know we have had a few good convos about video games here.

Oh and maybe a photography help section, as it seems they end up in the critic section (e.g. the buying a digital SLR advice would go into it)
It is ok, I wouldn't talk to me either...

Yeah I was thinking there needed to be something for photography in help and advice and games is always a good idea

Yeah, I think a Games discussion and a Game art techniques section could be good. ie: games discussion is where we complain about Atkinson and wax on about mass effect 2 and a games techniques section could cover stuff like normal mapping and how to use software like UDK.

So far there seems to be a lot of people asking for a games section, and the addition of photography to the help and advice section. I was also thinking that it might be an idea to start a whole new section called software and have a forum for each major piece of software, so for example Photoshop, Maya, 3dsmax etc etc. What do you all think?

I'm for the game section. And I could see how photography help would be useful.

Individual software sections would be good. We've got a few Maya users now so it might be good to get some discussions going on that topic.
