Hi everyone,

We are adding some new forums later today; Gaming, Film & TV, Music, Politics, Game Development, Web Design etc. We are also going to be removing some unused boards. We want to encourage more off topic conversation and we think these new sections will help us achieve that.

You may have noticed that we will be adding a Politics forum. Now, before everyone gets worried about flaming, we have a solution. The Anonymous Posting System! This will allow people to discuss more controversial topics without fear of reprisal. This way we can avoid fights and other problems that might arise from encouraging heated debate. However, the new system has more than one use and we did not design it for the Political forum alone. The Advanced Critique section of the forums has always been a little lack lustre in terms of honest feedback. Now with anonymous posting users can feel free to say what they really think about a person’s artwork. This may of course lead to a few bruised egos but in the long run it will produce better art and that is what this community is all about.

However, just because the system is anonymous does not mean that it can be used as a tool of abuse. If we see the system being misused we will warn and eventually ban any offenders. We want to keep this community clean but we also want to encourage more lively discussion, while giving artists what they need most - valuable feedback.
