press the x key. That and spacebar for locking the selection are up there for the most useless and annoying default keyboard shortcuts.

sorry but i have already tried pressing the x key. Usualy the x key only reduces the size of the "select and move" tool, but for me, all the gizmos have disapeard

x hides the gizmos by default + and - grow and shrink them. but maybe try going to customise>preferences>gizmos and check if gizmos are on.

I have found that if x doesn't work sometimes tab x does. its a weird useless shortcut.

I've had this problem before, I found that if it was from pressing a button, a button will undo it, so just go through and double press any button to see what effect it has (double press it otherwise you may disable something else in the process as I hav done before) and dont forget about the alt,ctrl and shift keys
