I found this free tree generator for max the other day, Anyone interested in architectural work should have this. Onyx treepro is still very good but this one has a feature where you can type in the age of the tree or plant species and it makes a random tree that is correct.
and its free with four or so tree types (buy additional trees for $40 each)
makes it easy to see if planting a row of sapling will actually look good in say eight years time when they are all dropping pine needles into gutters etc..

Easy to use, works with vray, I like it. They don't look too bad either.

Thats what I thought too, it makes it sound that way but the age doesnt seem to be animatable, gotta get way more tricky I suppose.

probably not due to the whole same vertex count limitation of morpher. The only way that comes to mind other than building special rigged trees from scratch is to perhaps make multiple renders with the same camera then change the tree each time going up year by year, then blend it together in fusion, it might look pretty cool, like motion control timelapse.
