is there any way to save off a cache when you do a preview of your particles?

I have a scene with a diamond waterfall in it and due to a hardware failure and an idiot who messed with our queue manager i have had the scene crash twice and right in the middle. when i restart this scene on our render farm it takes hours and hours for it to pick up where it left off or not at all it just sits there saying translating scene and eventually fails.

Is there a way to save off a cache so the scene will pick right back up where it left off? or will i have to start the render from scratch again? I am using four super spray particle effects in my scene.

Any help is greatly appreciated smile.gif

As far as I know you can't save particle caches for standard max particles. with particle flow you could make a cache operator.
Are you rendering to a tga sequence for the preview?. If you make your display count low you should be able to load the scene and keep rendering from
anywhere after a crash because max particles arent history dependent like particle flow.
